Classes with Ithaca Capoeira Angola Quintal are...
Inclusive & supportive
Detailed & comprehensive
Each class begins with music and inspiration, moves into a warm-up and exercises to learn and condition ourselves for the basics of capoeira, and concludes with a core lesson for the day: practicing combinations of movements with a partner, learning more advanced/detailed movements, and playing games (jogos) of capoeira.
All ability levels are welcome. Our teachers and students are here to support; not to push anyone beyond their limit.
What to Expect:
We will be mindful of your time, beginning and ending class on schedule.
Our teachers and members will be welcoming and respectful.
Capoeira is a great workout-- you may wish to bring a water bottle and towel.
Workout-appropriate clothing will be a wise choice.
Please be prepared to go barefoot for class. Proper hygiene is appreciated by all.
We will move, participate in music, and have fun for the full duration of class.
